Awaio has decided to continue contributing through our agreement with Redd Barna (Save the Children Norway) for 2027 as well.
Five years, and counting
The mutual business is the best. Awaio signed the cooperation agreement with Redd Barna in 2022, taking a social responsibility and contributing to Redd Barna's work for children. The support is paid annually, and the agreement has now run without interruption since then — alongside Redd Barna being an Awaio customer for just as long.
How Redd Barna works
Redd Barna has worked for children's rights for more than 100 years and is part of the international Save the Children organization, with over 24,000 employees in more than 100 countries. It is a member-led rights organization, open to all worldviews and politically independent.
A few things stand out in how they work:
- Long-term over temporary. Redd Barna works for lasting change rather than short-lived results — long-term development work, preventive work, and life-saving emergency relief when war or disaster hits.
- Children at the centre. Every year Redd Barna talks with thousands of children about the issues that affect them, then analyses those problems and pushes for solutions — so children get more influence over decisions about their own lives.
- Work in Norway too. Through volunteers, local groups, and regional offices across the country, Redd Barna works directly with vulnerable children, provides free teaching material to schools and kindergartens, and fights violence and sexual abuse against children.
- Money that reaches children. In 2023, 93.2% of funds went to Redd Barna's work for children; 6.8% covered administration and fundraising.
What Redd Barna runs on Awaio
Redd Barna has been an Awaio customer since 2022. At their Oslo head office they use:

- Awaio Room Booking, including the Awaio add-in for Microsoft Outlook, so rooms are booked straight from the calendar invite
