Don'ts

Orphans

Use text-wrap: balance or rewrite to prevent a single word stranded on the last line.

Widows

Never let a single line sit alone at the top of a column or new section. Keep at least 2 lines together.

All-caps body text

Uppercase is reserved for the Label style (11px). Never apply text-transform: uppercase to body copy.

Justified alignment

Never use text-align: justify. Left-align body copy; center only for short display strings.

Black 900 weight

Never use font-weight 900. Maximum is Bold 700; SemiBold 600 is preferred on web.

Mixing typefaces

Figtree only. Never introduce a second font family in Awaio-branded contexts.

Tight line-height on body

Never set line-height below 1.5 on body copy. Headings use their naturally tight leading.

Overlong line lengths

Body lines should stay under ~75 characters (~680px at 16px). Use max-width to constrain.
